2024 Family Camp Schedule
Medicine Lodge Archeological Sitie https://wyoparks.wyo.gov/index.php/places-to-go/medicine-lodge
Wednesday 3:00 PM Camp Opens
Friday Morning Games 10:00 AM @ Shelter
Friday Afernoon Ice Cream Fellowship
Bring your ice cream maker and ingredients. Ice and salt will be provided.
Friday 6:00 PM Group Meal @ Shelter
Cook your own meat on the shelter grill and bring a side or dessert to share.
Saturday Noon Meal: Cream Can Stew
A traditional "cream can" stew for everyone to share. Bringing a side or dessert to share is nice but not necessary.
Saturday Afternoon Final Clean Up Vacate Camp Site by 3:00 PM
This is an informal time to enjoy extended fellowship as we camp together. Most of the time is unstructured and conducive for most camping activities. With gorgeous hills and a mountain stream nearby, hiking and swimming are favorite activates. Volleyball is also an activity which has produced decades of bragging rights and fun camp stories. There are several road and paths for biking and casual strolls.
Most of the meals are on your own except for Friday night and Saturday at noon. Friday night each family brings and cooks their own meat and also brings a side or dessert to share. Saturday lunch is a "cream can stew" which is prepared by the Lands with our help cutting and pealing vegetables. Typically, we can use fire pits to cook which are spread throughout the campground. There are not enough pits for each family to have their own so it is custom to share the pits with those camping in your area.
The campground has ample room for campers and tent camping. There is a water tap to fill water jugs and a few electric outlets in the shelter. The days are hot and nights are cool. We look forward to fellowshipping with you.
